Fine Weather Brings Fine Scores at Club Open Shoot
Fifty One shooters from some 10 clubs in the Home Counties enjoyed excellent weather over the weekend at the East Grinstead Target Shooting Club’s Spring Open Meeting.
Competing over 50m and 100 yard ranges there was some high and close scoring with no less than six tied results that could only be separated by ‘count back’ of the best final shots.
The overall winner of Class A was Christopher Ingram of Romford Rifle and Pistol Club with a score of 783 ex 800, who at 50 metres dropped only two points out of 400.
B Class was won by Sara Marshall of Eastbourne Rifle Club with 767; C Class was won by M Clarke of Hampton with 758; and D Class by Stephen Dryburgh of East Grinstead with 743.
East Grinstead had some good shooting in depth with David White, Trevor Wilde and Andy Meyers winning the Team of Three (See Photo). Andy Meyers and Trevor Wilde also won the Open Pairs competition.
Full details of all scores will be available on the results page.
