Richard Wilson (Shanklin R&PC) managed to master the conditions and won Class A with a respectable score of 588 ex 600. Saturday's conditions were light cloud with little wind. Sunday followed with variable sun/cloud and warmer temperatures.
With the relatively benign conditions scores were close and ties were decided on count back using the x200 scores in accordance with NSRA Rules. Malcolm Brain scrapping into 3rd place over fellow club member Charles White, and Samantha Kettle winning Class C over another East Grinstead shooter John Chisholm. The Open Pairs result was even tighter with the count back going to the second set of cards before Andy Meyers and Trevor Wilde triumphed over fellow club members Linda Smallbone and Malcolm Brain.
East Grinstead members put up a contingent of 13 out of a total of 33 entries and won a total of 10 out of the 17 prizes so aquitted themselves very well. Special mention to first timers at an outdoor meeting: John Chisholm (EGTSC) who narrowly missed first place in Class C, and Peter Long (5th Sussex HG) who came third in Class D.
Congratulations to all the prize winners.
