The club was open on Sat/Sun/Mon over the new year for some SCATT training. Having aquired the technology and undergone some training on it's use, we thought it was about time we put it to some good use.

Over the three days we had 8 members put themselves forward. The sessions not only confirmed that some individual techniques were looking good but also identified some interesting techniques that weren't quite in line with perceived wisdom!

The SCATT equipment records a massive amount of detail so it is easy for us to see what is happening to the "inner position" as each shooter goes through their routine. It does take a little while to get used to using the SCATT so we are intending to repeat the event regularly so we can include anyone else who would like to try it out and also so we can follow up on the changes and advice given to members over the coaching sessions.

Following the weekend event additional sessions have been undertaken and more members have gained an insight into their shooting technique. Anyone wishing to have a go should contact one of the club coaches or Instructurs (Malcolm Brain, Mike Kettle, Jim Howard, Graham Rowcroft, Peter Watson, or Andy Meyers) to arrange a time.
