NSRA Bisley Meeting 2016

Six East Grinstead members attended the 2016 NSRA Bisley Meeting held between 13th & 24th August.

There were two highlights for the club the first at the beginning of the meeting when Andy Meyers finished 2nd in the NSRA / Eley Postal Final, just one point behind the winner.

The second was at the end of the week. The Earl Roberts British Championship & the English Long Range Championship were held over three stages. Malcolm, Andy and Trevor progressed through to the second stage and Malcolm then qualified for the final which was shot in very strong winds on Saturday afternoon. From the 20 finalists Malcolm finished 8th in the British & 7th in the English Championship. "The wind was so strong that it was more reliable to watch the bend in the flagpoles rather that the flags themselves, which just stood straight out all the time" said Malcolm.

In the Weekend Aggregate X Class, Linda Smallbone finished 12th out of 62, Andy Meyers 13th & Malcolm Brain 47th. In Class A, David White finished 4th out of 62 (with a 4th & 7th in the subsidiary competitions), Trevor Wilde 17th (with a 2nd in comp 8) and Chris Phillips 57th.

In the Grand Aggregate, Linda finished 23rd out of 80 on 2,701 points, Malcolm 57th (2,674) & Andy 63rd (2,666). In A Class, Trevor finished 29nd (out of 91) on 2,667, Chris 42nd on 2,658 & David 47th on 2,656.

On the final day Andy represented Sussex in the Champion of Champions final finishing 11th out of 31.
