Fifteen members took advantage of the Eley mobile testing facility at the weekend. Everyone found out that their barrels can shoot straighter than they can!
Results were interesting with Edge performing better than Match and Tenex in some instances! Click here to see one of the better groups developing over the course of ten shots.
Tests were undertaken against the normal ammo used by each shooter. In all except two instances a batch of Edge was identified that produced better groups than the shooters existing ammo. The photo shows the test rig in use and the batches of Edge lined up ready for testing.

Batches of Edge lined up ready for Testing.

The results of a testing session are shown below. Lot 1014-01120 is the Tenex currently in use. Lot 3015-30142 is the best of the Edge batches through this barrel. The consolidated Score is 6 points better which should help to improve the average. The Tenex has 4 shots in the 9 ring and a total of 7 in the 10.1 and 10.2 rings. That's 11 shots in total. This compares to the Edge where none of the shots fell in this range. So on both measures the Edge grouped better. Not suprizingly, I bought some of the Edge. Now all I have to do is hold the rifle still and point it in the middle!
