A total of 42 competitors from as far afield as Truro took part in the East Grinstead Target Shooting Club Autumn shoot at 50 metres this weekend. Saturday's competitors had better weather conditions with Sunday shooters having to manage a blustery wind. The overall winner was Graham Ramsey of Cuckfield with a score of 589 with Linda Smallbone of Eastbourne second, just pipping Tim Green of East Grinstead into third place on count-back both scoring 585. Class D was won by Malcolm Brain of East Grinstead with 552, who with Geoff Gilbert won the Class C and D Pairs. The Junior Handicap was won by Thomas Porter of Lingfield & Dormansland with a score of 583.50.
