The trial for the International Dewar Match was held at Appleton Range near Warrington on 20th June. The match is a postal competition which pits the best twenty shooter and coach combinations from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States against each other.

The trial consists of some fifty four shooters competing against each other for the twenty available places, plus two reserves.

Andy Meyers & Malcolm Brain from East Grinstead TSC were selected for the trial and Andy (with 783 ex 800) was selected for the main team and Malcolm (781) was first reserve. Three other Sussex shooters - Pete Terry, Rob Dowling & Russell French were also selected for the team.

The match was shot in the afternoon and everybody shot well - the full results will be available later in the year.
