Weekend and Week Aggregates
East Grinstead members Andy Meyers and Malcolm Brain, both shooting in X Class at the NSRA Scottish Rifle Meeting in Lauder, had a solid start coming 15th and 18th respectively in the weekend aggregate.
During the following week they upped the ante further: Malcolm finished 16th in the week aggregate, 20 points ex 2000 behind the winner. Andy came fifth, third and second in 3 of the individual competitions making up the week aggregate giving him joint third, a final finishing position of fourth overall (on count back), only two points behind the winner. This was exactly the same margin as last year, so once again an eight has come back to haunt him!
Malcolm finished sixteenth (out of 29 in X Class). Andy won the Nith Trophy for the highest score by a Sussex shooter. They finished fourth in the club pairs.
Andy also picked up the Scottish Trophy (beating Linda Smallbone by two points) in the Centenary competition.
Home Countries International
The last event of the week was the Home Countries International competition. Both Andy and Malcolm qualified for the 10-man England team for the second consecutive year where they wore their East Grinstead jackets with pride!

(Sussex Shooters: Andy Meyers, Sara Marshall, Malcolm Brain, Linda SMallbone, Sue Thomas)
Two other Sussex shooters also represented England at the Home Countries match: Linda Smallbone and Sue Thomas, so all in all a great week for both EGTSC and the County.
Andy top scored with six off, Malcolm dropped fourteen. England lost to Scotland by five points, reduced to two after challenges - they usually do loose by a far higher margin at the Scottish Meeting with the tables being turned at Bisley.
